Sawtelle Judo Dojo is one of the oldest Judo schools in the United States, established in 1927 by Tadashi Kikuchi Shihan. We maintain the fundamental instruction of Kodokan Judo, the Judo taught in Japan. Our Dojo remains a timeless place where thousands have entered our mats through the decades.

We are an all-volunteer, community-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, EIN #51-022843, dedicated to giving back to the community by sharing our knowledge and expertise in teaching Judo techniques while instilling the traditions and moral etiquette for which Judo is renowned.
